Pergolas and garden sheds in Ticino

Pergolas and wooden garden houses

A pergola turns your terrace or garden into an outdoor room; a wooden garden house finally gives tools, bicycles and garden furniture a proper place. We help you choose the size and materials and work out which procedures are required in your municipality.

What we offer

01

Bioclimatic pergolas

Roof with adjustable slats: you control light and ventilation and, with the slats closed, you are sheltered from the rain.

02

Wooden pergolas

Made-to-measure wooden structures, freestanding or attached to the house, to be completed with canopies, glazing or climbing plants.

03

Garden sheds

Wooden garden houses and storage units in various sizes, for tools, bicycles, firewood or garden furniture.

04

Accessories

Side enclosures, lighting, vertical blinds and flooring to complete the space.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a building permit for a pergola or a garden house?

In Ticino, many of these structures require at least a notification to the municipality, and sometimes a building application; it depends on size, position and the municipal regulations. During the site visit we check what is needed and help you prepare the documentation.

What kind of foundation is needed?

It depends on the structure and the ground: sometimes pad footings or screw piles are enough, other times a concrete slab is required. We assess this on site.

Does a bioclimatic pergola protect against rain?

Yes, with the slats closed the roof shelters you from the rain, and the water is channelled into downpipes built into the structure.

Does the wood need maintenance?

Yes, outdoor wood needs to be treated periodically to last over time. We explain how and how often, depending on the product you choose.
