Glazing for pergolas and verandas in Ticino

Glazing for pergolas and verandas in Ticino

Glazing for pergolas and verandas

Sliding glazing turns the pergola or terrace into a space you can use for more months of the year: open in summer, closed when it turns cool or windy. We design it to measure together with the structure.

What we offer

01

Sliding glazing

Glass panels on tracks, which stack to one side to free up the whole front.

02

Side enclosures

Fixed or sliding glazing on the sides of pergolas and porches, for shelter from the wind.

03

Vertical blinds

Technical drop blinds with side guides, for shade and privacy on open sides.

04

On new or existing pergolas

We integrate the enclosures into the pergolas we install or, where possible, into existing ones.

What we assess during the site visit

  • Measurements, out-of-square and load capacity of the existing structure
  • Flooring for the floor tracks
  • Exposure to wind and water drainage
  • Procedures required: enclosing a pergola can change how it is classified for building purposes

Frequently asked questions

Does enclosing a pergola require a permit?

Often yes: a pergola enclosed with glazing may be considered built volume. We check with you what the municipality requires before going ahead.

Does the glazing insulate like a window?

No, single-glazed sliding panels protect against wind and rain but are not insulated like a window frame: they let you enjoy the outdoor space for longer, not turn it into a heated room.

Can they be added to an existing pergola?

Often yes, if the structure is suitable to support them. We check during the site visit.

How do you clean them?

With water and a neutral detergent, like ordinary glass. The tracks should be kept free of leaves and dirt.
