Air conditioning in Ticino for home and office

Refrigerant handling permit (ChemRRV)

Air conditioning in Ticino for home and office

Air conditioning

Summers in Ticino are getting hotter. A properly sized air conditioner cools without unpleasant draughts and, in the shoulder seasons, can also heat with low energy consumption. We hold the refrigerant handling permit: we design, install and commission the system ourselves.

What we offer

01

Single-split

One indoor unit and one outdoor unit: the simplest solution for a bedroom, a living room or an office.

02

Multi-split

Several indoor units connected to a single outdoor unit: you air-condition multiple rooms with just one unit on the façade.

03

Air-to-air heat pump

Modern air conditioners also work in heating mode: useful in spring and autumn, or as a supplementary source of heat.

04

Smartphone control

On models that support it, you can switch on, schedule and adjust the temperature even when you are away from home.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a permit to install an air conditioner?

In Ticino, installing an air conditioner with an outdoor unit generally requires a building procedure with the municipality and compliance with noise limits towards neighbours; in a condominium the consent of the co-owners is also needed. During the site visit we check what is required and help you with the paperwork.

How noisy is the outdoor unit?

It depends on the model and its position. In Switzerland, noise limits apply towards neighbours: that is why we choose carefully where to place the outdoor unit and which appliance is suitable.

Can an air conditioner also heat?

Yes, most modern air conditioners are air-to-air heat pumps and also work in heating mode. They are ideal in the shoulder seasons or as a supplement to your main heating.

How much does an installed air conditioner cost?

It depends on the number of rooms, the power required and the complexity of the installation (pipe length, masonry work, electrical connection). After the site visit you receive a detailed quote.
